This is a good version of Nasi Goreng and a nice meal after a long day hiking. Lots of flavour and pleasant enough to eat for a freeze-dried meal. Light weight and very easy to re-hydrate. Regular size is very filling, quite generous serving size.

It is what it needs to be! Tasty and dried until we add water.

Back country apple pie is a surprisingly tasty treat out on the trail. Better than most apple pies I've bought either fresh or frozen, I usually get an extra one or two to keep at home. In fact, all the products I've tried from Back Country are very nice and far better than the MREs of old, even if some of them aren't 'exactly' what they are supposed to be, like the Beef Strog - it's a nice meal but it isn't really a stroganoff, more like a braised steak and rice (no real 'creamy tomato & onion flavour' and no potato - but it's quite alright anyway).

Haven’t tried yet, but sounds yum. Other products haven’t disappointed
